This program includes 27 established and emerging artists from across Canada, bringing 50+ diverse art forms into the two new buildings at CAMH’s Queen Street site: the Temerty Discovery Centre and the Waverley House Secure Care and Recovery Building.

"It has been an insightful process working with the people of CAMH over the last few years, and I am grateful to feel that my work will contribute to a community as well as to a care facility," says Tessa Shank, a CAMH commissioned artist living in Toronto and at her community at the Nipissing First Nation. "I know that the integrated therapeutic art throughout the new CAMH facilities will transform the way we approach healing, and I hope that the impact of using art as a vital tool will lead to a shift in the system and encourage more hospitals and care facilities to embrace art as part of the healing process. My intentions for the artwork I am creating for CAMH are to fill these spaces with a connection to nature, impart a feeling of optimism, and embody a hopeful spirit."

Century Gardens Youth Hub
City of Brampton | Century Gardens Youth Hub
The City of Brampton is developing a new Community Youth Hub at Century Gardens Recreation Centre. Building on the first youth hub opened in 2023 at Susan Fennell Sportsplex, these spaces bring together youth-focused programs, services and activities in one convenient place. The existing 3,200 sq. ft. Lawn Bowling Club will be replaced with a 12,500 sq. ft. facility featuring e-sports, creative spaces, meeting rooms and service areas for community organizations. Outdoor amenities will include an amphitheater, community gardens, a basketball court and the Atiba Hutchinson soccer court.

New Etobicoke Civic Centre

As the first civic centre to be built in the last 50 years, the ECC is designed as a mixed-use building comprising of office spaces, including municipal offices and a multi-purpose council chamber, a child care centre, library, public health clinic, recreation centre, retail spaces and a civic square located steps away from a new affordable housing community.
