NCCT Indigenous Artisan Marketplace 2024

I was honoured to be the highlighted artist for the 2024 NCCT Indigenous Artisan Marketplace

This is an exclusive, limited series made in honour of the NCCT and was on exhibition throughout the three weeks of the 2024 Indigenous Artisan Marketplace.

Six original artworks follow this year’s theme of: Red: The Medicine Wheel.

The artworks are scenes of summertime, which resides the Southern direction and red colour of the Medicine Wheel. The artwork follows the life that thrives on the growing flowers and plants native to Ontario in the summer. The series of six are all individual but at the same time, they are all connected. Flowers, colours and flowing lines of roots and stems are carried throughout all six designs. Reminding us that just like these plants and flowers, we are all relatives. Highlighting the summertime and the importance of the vital relationships among insects, plants and flowers, they also represent the connections throughout the hoop of life. These relationships exist on every level of life, and still, hold the same power and importance when it comes to the great balance of nature. Vibrant and beautiful and should be honoured and protected.
